When We Are Closed
When the surgery is closed please ring St Austell 75555 and a message will tell you how to contact Serco Out of Hours. Please have a pen or pencil ready to write down the number.
In the interests of patients, Serco Out of Hours records incoming telephone calls. These recordings are strictly confidential and are dealt with in exactly the same way as patients’ medical records.
ACCIDENTS AND EMERGENCIES
There is a nurse run minor injuries unit at St Austell Community Hospital open 8am-10pm to deal with accidents and emergencies. (Telephone St Austell 291199.)

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call
NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
